Images Retrieval

This page describes the application view for the Images Retrieval business process.

Business View

The overall business scenario associated to this process is described in the Business view page.

Application View

Indipendently on the way imaging study, series or instance identifiers have been collected - for example from the Imaging Study Manifest, diagnostic reports or other documents - those identifiers, or a selection of them, are used to fetch the evidences having those instance identifiers or belonging to the selected study or series.

Depending on the granularity of the identifiers available, the Requestor may work at:

  • study level
  • series level
  • instance level

as shown in the first part of the diagram below. Whichever the granularity, the selected identifiers are then used to fetch the corresponding evidence.
